B.J. Habibie, in full Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, (born June 25, 1936, Parepare, Indonesia—died September 11, 2019, Jakarta), Indonesian aircraft engineer and politician who was president of Indonesia(1998–99) and a leader in the country’s technological and economic development in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Habibie was a native of Parepare, in South Sulawesi. Habibie is an ethnic Gorontalese-Javanesedescent from Kabila, Gorontaloand Yogyakarta.His parents, Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie,an agriculturistof Gorontalesedescent, and R. A. Tuti Marini Puspowardojo, a Javanesenoblewomanfrom Yogyakarta,met while studying in Bogor.Habibie's family comes from Kabila, a village now sits in the eastern part of Gorontalo Province. He was the fourth of eight children.Habibie's father died when he was 14 years old.
Brilliant in scienceand mathematics from childhood, Habibie received his postsecondary education at the Bandung Institute of Technology in Bandung, Indonesia, and furthered his studies at the Institute of Technology of North Rhine–Westphalia in Aachen, West Germany. After graduating in 1960, he remained in West Germany as an aeronautics researcher and production supervisor.
On 21 May 1998, just two months after Habibie became vice president, Suharto announced his resignation, and Habibie succeeded him as president. The following day, Habibie announced the Development Reform Cabinet, which removed some of the most controversial ministers in Suharto's last cabinet while maintaining others - with no major figures from the opposition. Within days of his appointment, he asked his relatives to resign from government positions, promised an early election, repealed some legislation, and ordered the release of political prisoners.
He is my role model and i’m so proud that my and his junior high school are same, smpn 5 bandung. I want to follow his education, studies in german and become one of the most successful person that make indonesia proud.
Habibie Ainun Love is a nice topic to be talked by people around the world. It always makes us happy. Love is not always sexual attractiveness but the core of love is feeling to accept and give. A simple love comes without telling any word but from actions, expressions and attentions. We called it, a simple love. This one of the quotes that i like from them.
